The Dallas Stars have signed unrestricted free-agent forward Ales Hemsky to a contract reportedly worth $12 million over three years. Hemsky was traded to the Ottawa Senators at the 2014 trade deadline after spending the first 11 seasons of his career with the Edmonton Oilers. In 75 games with the Oilers and Senators in 2013-14, Hemsky scored 13 goals and added 30 assists. He is coming off a two-year contract that paid him an annual average of $5 million.
